Italian multimedia designer Valeria Degli Agostini creates beautiful illustrations and shorts films that explore new dimensions of nature and characters. With her newly animated video The Pearl Under Giant Furrows she visits new worlds of underwater life pulling the viewer in with her vivid imagination.

Valeria won the first prize at "Videoconcorso Pasinetti" with "The Pearl Under Giants' Furrows". This past September she presented her short animated movie at the 72° Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.

In the "The Pearl Under Giants' Furrows", A boy is sitting in the side of a street of Venice called Zattere. He is leaning forward on the channel, looking at his snack floating on the water, when he is dragged down into the lagoon by a mysterious creature. Once he reaches the depth of the lagoon, he discovers an imaginary unpolluted underwater Venice and he notices that he has assumed the same appearance of the strange creature.

With experience in Animation, Illustration, Motion Graphics, Character Design and Digital Art, she obtained an Autodesk Character Certificate at Big Rock School in Treviso in 2010 where she learned 3D computer graphics, from modeling, rigging, animating, to rendering and post producing.

This year she completed her degree in Visual and Performing Arts at IUAV University, Venice and started working as a motion graphic artist for Komlab, a web agency.
